Job Description: Sr. PHP Developer (5-7 Years)

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Senior PHP Developer, you will play a pivotal role in driving the technical direction of our web applications, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement backend components, optimize performance, and contribute to architectural decisions. Your role will encompass the following responsibilities:

• Leading the design, development, and maintenance of advanced web applications using PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony, CodeIgniter).
• Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering their growth and skill development.
• Collaborating with frontend developers and designers to integrate backend logic with user-facing elements.
• Architecting and implementing robust, scalable, and secure backend solutions.
• Writing well-documented, clean, and maintainable code that adheres to coding standards.
• Optimizing application performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.
• Troubleshooting and debugging complex issues and providing innovative solutions.
• Participating in code reviews to maintain code quality, consistency, and best practices.
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, and evaluating their potential impact on projects.
• Leading technical discussions and contributing to architectural decisions.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective communication and project success.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven experience as a Senior PHP Developer, with at least 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience.
• Expertise in PHP and PHP frameworks (e.g., Laravel, Symfony) with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
• Deep knowledge of backend architecture, design patterns, and best practices.
• Proficiency in frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for effective collaboration with frontend teams.
• Experience with relational databases (MySQL8) and advanced SQL querying.
• Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude towards tackling challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Leadership skills and the ability to mentor and guide junior developers.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and integration of third-party APIs.
• Previous experience in technical leadership or architectural decision-making is a plus.
